I graduated in Communications and I still have issues being clear and getting all the information I need from clients.
I was asked to design the following poster:

They were approved and I sent the printable file right away.
Just one problem.
Poster in my mind = 11x17
Poster in the client's mind? I think is still 11x17 but somewhere along the way – after I had sent them the file – they started calling it a flier. When I got the final prints, I was saddened to find gaping white space where it most definitely was not supposed to be.
In the future, I will be sure to specifically ask for dimensions for print before sending the design.
